The TarsusME Multiple Bit Synchronizer/Frame Synchronizer System is a fully integrated chassis solution that may be configured for two (2) to eight (8) bit synchronizer and frame synchronizers. The TarsusME system utilizes the Ulyssix TarsusPCM-PCI-02 Dual Bit Synchronizer/Frame Synchronizer product which is a state-of-the-art Digital Signal Processing (DSP) based PCM Bit Sync/Frame Sync. The chassis is a 4U rackmount, embedded WindowsXP based system containing a 6.4" TFT LCD display, integrated keyboard and touch pad system with the most advanced single board computer currently available on the market.

Bit Synchronizer Features
  • Full Bit Sync design using all DSP filter algorithms in FPGA technology for maximum performance capability.
  • Accepts IRIG PCM code types including: NRZ-L/M/S, RNRZ-L, RZ, BiP-L/M/S, DM-M/S
  • Bit Sync programmable input rates from 1 bps to 20/32 Mbps for NRZ-L/M/S, RNRZ-L, RZ and 1 bps to 10/16 Mbps for other code types (optional versions)
  • Input Level from 75 mVp-p to 10 Vp-p
  • Less than 1 dB theoretical bit sync BER performance
  • PCM encoder output capability for IRIG codetypes
  • Second PCM encoder output has external selectable input for use with decryptor interfaces
Frame Synchronizer Features
  • Supports all IRIG Class II 16 to 33 bit frame synchronizer patterns
  • User programmable sync search/check/lock output display strategies
  • Minor frame lengths up to 64K bits with subframes lengths up to 1024 frames
  • Programmable number of frame sync bit slips and allowable sync bit errors
  • User friendly Windows GUI based software for full setup of bit sync and frame sync formats and optional client/server capability
