ALTAIR Standalone Mode

Standalone Mode is when ALTAIR is run on a computer without a Ulyssix Card installed in the computer. Applications for Standalone Mode:

  • In Standalone Mode you can edit ALTAIR configuration files. Create Decom Parameters, develop Data and Math Processes, and setup Display Pages from any computer. In Standalone Mode the PCM data source is either computer generated Major Frame simulator or a Tarsus Archive Data (TAD) file. ALTAIR generates PCM data and feeds it directly into the Data Engine to run the Data Displays.

  • Play TAD or Chapter 10 files in Analysis Mode. Analysis Mode allows the user to play an archive file at normal speed, fast forward or rewind, step by single minor frames, or scroll to a time frame of interest. The use of Chapter 10 files requires the optional Chapter 10 feature for ALTAIR Standalone Mode.

  • Export data from a TAD or Chapter 10 file to CSV or Matlab files. Use of Chapter 10 files requires the optional Chapter 10 feature for ALTAIR Standalone Mode.

  • Remote view live telemetry data from an Ulyssix ALTAIR Ground Station or other source:

    • Receive, process, and display Chapter 10 PCM packets received via UDP. This requires the optional Chapter 10 feature for ALTAIR Standalone Mode.

    • Receive, process, and display data from a Ulyssix Data Acquisition Unit. The Ulyssix Data Acquisition unit must have the UDP Publisher licensed feature.
