ALTAIR Software Suite The Ulyssix ALTAIR Software Suite is designed to work with any of the Ulyssix family of products in a Windows based environment. The ALTAIR Software Suite is full-service software suite for PCM real-time and archival processing and remote interfacing to user platfor m . With self built widgets, no compiling is necessary when creating new displays. Giving full frame archiving capability, this software utilizing the Ulyssix hardware can archive the raw frame dump data to a designated hard drive. This archived data can then be played back using the Bald Eagle™ or Tarsus3™ archive simulator for further processing. Easy to follow setups, self diagnostic tools, and various adaptable displays are just a few attributes that set the ALTAIR Software apart from the rest. Included in the software suite is the Ulyssix FlashBurn utility, a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) programming tool. This allows the user to update the on board firmware without sending the hardware back to the factory. • Bald Eagle RF-cPCI | Ulyssix Technologies

DATA SHEET SPECIFICATIONS Bald Eagle RF-cPCI Dual Multi-Mode Receivers with Diversity Combiner and Single PCM Modulating Multi-Mode RF Signal Generators The Bald Eagle RF is a mezzanine card that mounts to the Tarsus3 mother card. The Bald Eagle RF is comprised of two independent multi-mode complex down-converters and two independent multi-mode up-converters that cover the RF bands of C-Band, S-Band, Upper-L Band, Lower-L Band, P-Band extended, P-Band and 70MHz IF. Each receiver input and RF generator output have a very broad dynamic range. The Bald Eagle RF high speed digitizes the complex down converted output and sends the digital data to the Tarsus3 mother card INTEL Arria V GZ FPGA. Demodulation, diversity combining and then PCM processing (bit sync/frame sync/decommutation) is performed and then available for processing in real-time and/or stored for post mission analysis. The Bald Eagle RF daughter board uses state of the art RF to DSP implemented integrated circuits for RF signal processing and digitizing. The complex digital high speed output is transferred to the Tarsus3 mother card through a high speed shielded LVDS differential connector. The RF signal generator data is also transferred up to the Bald Eagle RF daughter card through the same connector for assurance of data fidelity. Features Dual channel frequency range of C-Band (4400-5250MHz),S-Band (2185-2485 MHz), Upper-L Band (1700-1850 MHz), Lower-L Band (1420-1590 MHz), P-Band Extended (500-1250 MHz), P-Band (200-500 MHz), 70Mhz IF Single Channel PCM modulated RF Signal Generators for simulation or BER testing at same frequencies, as stated above RF detection performed with direct complex downconversion to DC and digitizing using single integrated IC DSP implemented IF data bandwidth filtering from 1 kHz to40 MHz continuous 50 kHz input frequency tuning resolution AM and DC level AGC test points available for antenna and/or receiver tracking

  • LQ Tester | Ulyssix Technologies

Latency/Quality Tester Link Delay and Bit Error Rate Tester The Tarsus3 and BaldEagle RF hardware/software provides an optional feature which provides precise measurements of bit sync performance with a known data pattern, as well as a full round-trip link delay calculation. Utilizing the long established Tarsus3 and BaldEagle RF Bit Sync/Frame Sync/Decom/PCM Simulator/IRIG time code reader, the LQ Tester is able to transmit a prestored pseudo-randomized pattern, or a user defined simulated pattern to the unit under test. The received signal is then compared to the original to provide a precise Bit Error Rate or a Round-trip Latency calculation. All IRIG standard codetypes are supported. Transmitter and receiver operate independently. Bit rates programmable up to 33 Mbps (16.5 Mbps BiP). For current Tarsus PCM, Tarsus3, and BaldEagle RF users, no additional hardware is needed to gain all of this capability. With the addition of a license file, the ALTAIR Software Suite provides all tools necessary to receive real, quantitative measurements in no time. With this utility there is no longer a need for an external data link analyzer in the lab. Quality Tester Precise Bit Error Rate calculations Prestored pseudo-random patterns Programmable PCM Simulator setup Independent transmitter and receiver Selectable sampling interval All IRIG codetypes supported Up to eight analog inputs per card Latency Tester Measure accurate round-trip link delay Single or average run mode Average delay calculated All IRIG codetypes supported Prestored pseudo-random patterns

  • Standalone Mode | Ulyssix Technologies

A LTAIR Standalone Mode Standalone Mode is when ALTAIR is run on a computer without a Ulyssix Card installed in the computer. Applications for Standalone Mode: In Standalone Mode you can edit ALTAIR configuration files. Create Decom Parameters, develop Data and Math Processes, and setup Display Pages from any computer. In Standalone Mode the PCM data source is either computer generated Major Frame simulator or a Tarsus Archive Data (TAD) file. ALTAIR generates PCM data and feeds it directly into the Data Engine to run the Data Displays. Play TAD or Chapter 10 files in Analysis Mode. Analysis Mode allows the user to play an archive file at normal speed, fast forward or rewind, step by single minor frames, or scroll to a time frame of interest. The use of Chapter 10 files requires the optional Chapter 10 feature for ALTAIR Standalone Mode. Export data from a TAD or Chapter 10 file to CSV or Matlab files. Use of Chapter 10 files requires the optional Chapter 10 feature for ALTAIR Standalone Mode. Remote view live telemetry data from an Ulyssix ALTAIR Ground Station or other source: Receive, process, and display Chapter 10 PCM packets received via UDP. This requires the optional Chapter 10 feature for ALTAIR Standalone Mode. Receive, process, and display data from a Ulyssix Data Acquisition Unit. The Ulyssix Data Acquisition unit must have the UDP Publisher licensed feature.

  • Data Quality Metric | Ulyssix Technologies

A L TAIR Data Quality Metric ALTAIR’s Data Quality Metric evaluates one or more Tarsus Archive Data (TAD) files. ALTAIR stores frame synchronized telemetry data in TAD files. The Data Quality Metric is a post mission analysis tool that generates reports of the Bit Lock, Frame Lock, and SubFrame Lock versus time. The reports include: A CSV data file with columns for Time, Bit Lock, Frame Lock, and Subframe Lock for each telemetry stream. A CSV summary file that includes statistical analysis of the Bit Lock, Frame Lock, and Subframe Lock in seconds recorded, percent of seconds recorded, minor frames recorded, and percent of minor frames record. Plots of the Bit Lock, Frame Lock, and Subframe Lock versus time as PNG files.
